Well, the hype has been building for a few weeks now but it looks like Anthony Kim is officially back involved with golf thanks to a generous LIV Golf contract.
The American has been out of the sport for a decade following an injury that apparently paid him out a huge sum if he didn’t play again.
Now, though, with the riches of LIV on offer and still just 38, Kim is set to make a return as part of the next LIV event in Jeddah.
Kim’s inclusion is yet another eye-catching move by LIV, who have sealed the signings of some of the biggest names in golf in recent months such as Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and more.

Of course, whenever a player moves to LIV, all eyes are on the pay packet. And while it’s not anywhere near the reported £400m Jon Rahm will earn, Anthony Kim looks like he’s still in for a nice pay day.
How much Anthony Kim will earn as part of LIV contract
Little is known about the exact details of the contract from LIV to Kim. However, there are some details emerging from a few online sources who have had close ties to LIV in the past.
The @LIVGolfUpdates X account has claimed via its TeeTimesPub blog that Kim is set to earn a healthy £5-6m signing bonus for joining the LIV tour.
At the moment, Kim is signed as a wildcard but there are claims he may qualify for a mid-season extension if the move works out well, while there’s also a suggestion if he’s really successful he could get his own team.
Quite how that will all pan out, remains to be seen.
However, there can be no doubting that Kim’s inclusion back in golf bring eyeballs to the LIV product.
And at the end of the day, that’s where the money is.
Golf is changing in 2024 and right now, you’d have to say LIV are even winning, given the underwhelming nature of some of the PGA Tour events thus far.
