How Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed and Anthony Kim got on in round one while playing in the Philippines

Numerous LIV Golf players are competing in the International Series Philippines this week, including Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed.

Alongside Johnson and his fellow American Reed, recently relegated LIV golfer Anthony Kim is also playing at The Sta. Elena Golf Club in Santa Rosa, Philippines.

Johnson and Reed have been very active since the LIV season ended, with both recently playing on the DP World Tour.

With LIV Golf still not able to offer world ranking points, it is vital for their best players to compete on other tours as often as they can in order to maintain their position in the standings.

This week, Johnson, Reed and co chanced their hands in the International Series Philippines, and here’s how they all got on.

How Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed and Anthony Kim got on in the Philippines

Johnson began his round on fire on Thursday, making three birdies in his first five holes in the Philippines.

The 41-year-old American continued to make birdies with regularity, but he threw in two bogeys and a double-bogey as well.

Johnson ended up carding a round of five-under par 67.

However, he ended the day three shots better off than his fellow countryman Reed, who posted a round of 70.

Reed’s round consisted of four birdies and two bogeys.

Meanwhile, Kim posted a disappointing round of two-over par 74 after making three bogeys in his final eight holes.

How other LIV Golf players got on in the International Series Philippines

Cleeks team member Richard Bland was in fine form on Thursday, firing a round of six-under par 66 in the Philippines.

Meanwhile, South Africa duo Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen both posted rounds of one-under par 71.

Australian Marc Leishman, who won LIV Miami this year, finished with a round of four-under par 68 on Thursday.

Dean Burmester, the recent LIV Chicago winner, posted a fine round of five-under par 67.

However, they all trail Sarit Suwannarut, after the Thai golfer carded a superb round of eight-under par 64 which included nine birdies and a solitary bogey.
