Charlie Woods once again made his bid to qualify for the US Junior Amateur.
The 17-year-old son of 15-time major winner Tiger Woods has qualified for the event twice in his amateur career and attempted to make it a third time at Heathrow Country Club in Florida.
He needed to finish in the top five of this event to secure one of the five available qualifying spots for the junior amateur, and found himself in a three-way playoff battle.

Charlie Woods secures US Junior Amateur qualification in a playoff
Charlie Woods found himself battling in a dramatic three-man playoff as three players fought for two places.
Woods shot a 68, three under par, with two birdies in the final four holes to make the playoffs. He then edged his two competitors in the playoff to qualify for the US Junior Amateur.
Do you think we will ever see Tiger Woods play professional golf again?
His final round 68 consisted of seven birdies on the day, as he caught a heater in the clutch to book his spot.
The Junior Am will take place at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, from July 20 to 25.
How Charlie Woods has played at past US Junior Amateurs
Woods, who is committed to Florida State University for next season, has competed in the event twice before, failing to make the 64-player match-play cut each of the past two years.
Tiger Woods notably won the Junior Am an incredible three straight times from 1991 to 1993.
Charlie Woods missed the cut in his debut at Oakland Hills in 2024 after rounds of 82 and 80, before narrowly missing out on match play last year at Trinity Forest following scores of 81 and 74.
Tiger Woods has attended both of Charlie’s previous appearances in the championship, but it remains unknown if he’ll be in attendance this year.
