PGA Tour pro Mackenzie Hughes was among the players trying to kill their time at Pebble Beach this weekend.
The weather has played havoc with play on the coast of California with play suspended until tomorrow at the earliest. With the forecast still looking a tad rough, there’s even a chance the tournament doesn’t get finished and a 54-hole score is taken.
Of course, that would mean Wyndham Clark takes the win after his stunning round of 60 over the weekend put him atop the leader board.
In the meantime, players have been filling their time in different ways and Mackenzie Hughes decided to use his time to answer some questions on social media.
Running a Q&A with fans over on X, Hughes was asked a whole bunch of questions ranging from all things golf related to the ridiculous.
His responses were varied to say the least but when asked who the funniest player on the entire tour was, Hughes had just one name for everyone. And that name was Joel Dahmen.
Joel Dahmen the funniest golfer around
We’ll take Hughes’ word for it on this one but in fairness, those who watched the Full Swing series on Netflix will attest to Dahmen being a pretty fun guy.
Dahmen was one of the stars of that particular show and while he might not be the most successful player on the tour, he certainly lives his life and career to the full.

Clearly, Dahmen is a top character to be around and Hughes picking him out here is a nice little nod to what a likeable player he is.
Of course, you could ask 100 golfers the same question and they might have a different answer. Some might say Rory McIlroy, some might say Jon Rahm, and so on.
But based on what we’ve seen, we think Dahmen might come up more than once in the conversation.
