Max Homa will be incredibly frustrated that he is not taking part in the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black this week.
However, at the same time, Homa will surely be hugely motivated to get back to his best ahead of the 2026 PGA Tour season.
The 34-year-old from Burbank, California, experienced all sorts of problems on Tour in 2025 as his game completely deserted him.
There were a few bright sparks later on in the season, with Homa in contention to win the John Deere Classic in July.
Nevertheless, the six-time PGA Tour winner still has a very long way to go before he’s back at the peak of his powers.

Despite his poor form in general this year, Homa said that he was really excited about his form towards the end of the season.
And his game looks to be in great shape right now.
Grant Horvat makes Max Homa prediction after playing 18 holes with him
Horvat took on Homa at the Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach, California, for his YouTube series where he tries to beat PGA Tour pros after starting at five-under par for the round.
The YouTuber has taken down some big names in the past on his series, including the likes of Phil Mickelson and Tommy Fleetwood.
However, he didn’t have the same luck when coming up against Homa.
After playing alongside the PGA Tour star, Horvat made a prediction about what the future holds for his fellow American.

He said: “Not trying to “glaze” at all. However, Max’s swing is so unbelievably slotted right now. I witnessed him only miss 1 fairway and his irons and putter were dialled. I think he’s gonna have a great year.“
That is quite the prediction from Horvat, but judging how Homa played at the Pelican Hill Resort, there’s every chance he could enjoy success once again next year.
The score that Max Homa shot during clash with Grant Horvat
Homa clearly still has it. It’s just a matter of whether he is able to start producing solid golf for four consecutive rounds during tournaments.
He cruised around while playing alongside Horvat.
The American carded an eagle, seven birdies, one bogey and nine pars in what was a stunning display of golf.
Homa posted a round of nine-under par 62 to beat Horvat by four strokes in the end, and posted the lowest ever score on the YouTube content creator’s channel in the process.
While competing on the PGA Tour is a completely different kettle of fish to playing against a YouTuber, the signs are looking really good for Homa right now.
