Ten golfers from the DP World Tour might have only just earned their PGA Tour cards for 2026 but one of those players is now set to join LIV Golf.

With the partnership between the PGA and DP World Tour in place, the likes of Marco Penge, Laurie Canter and more all earned a PGA Tour card for the following season.

However, in what will come as a shock move to some in the game, one of those aforementioned players is now set to move to LIV Golf.

Which LIV golfer do you most want to see return to the PGA Tour?

Laurie Canter set to join LIV Golf

According to a report from Sports Business Journal, Laurie Canter is set to join LIV Golf for the second time in his career.

After initially being part of the PIF-backed tour, Canter lost his spot on LIV and has worked hard in the last 12 months across the DP World Tour and other events to earn a PGA Tour card.

But in what is a shock move, Canter is now set to re-join LIV for next season as they look to beef up their rosters again.

According to SBJ, there is no sign yet of just which team Canter will sign for.

But with increased pay outs and purses for individuals and teams in 2026, LIV have obviously found enough money to tempt Canter back into the picture.

Laurie Canter’s record on LIV Golf

Laurie Canter was a big feature for LIV Golf back in the 2022 and 2023 seasons before being a reserve player in 2024 and eventually moving on.

In ’22, he never managed a single top ten finish, with his best being two 11th placed finishes.

In 2023, Canter once again failed to break the top ten and in fact, he only finished inside the top 20 on three occasions despite playing all but two events.

2024 saw Canter appear just twice, and he managed a T15 and T21 in those appearances as he stepped into the fold.

Now, going back for the 2026 season, Canter will be hoping to take his form from the DP World Tour – he won once, finished second and third twice – and show how good he really is.
