Bryson DeChambeau is a lot of things and whether you love him or hate him, one thing that is undeniable is his charisma and character.
DeChambeau is very much one of the few golfers in the world capable of putting on a show wherever he is.
His foray into YouTube has allowed DeChambeau to shine a real light on his actual personality and we’re seeing more and more of that when he’s competing as well.
At LIV Golf Dallas this weekend though, DeChambeau seems to have overstepped the mark a touch in the eyes of some golf fans.
The American got himself up on stage during the live entertainment on display in Dallas.
And while DeChambeau simply used it as a chance to engage with the fans and make himself heard, it’s safe to say that plenty of people aren’t too impressed with his antics.

Golf fans slam Bryson DeChambeau for LIV Golf Dallas moment
Just like that over zealous uncle at a family party, sometimes things can get a bit of out hand and it looks like that’s how DeChambeau has come across over in Dallas.
Clearly buzzing to be up on stage and entertaining the masses, DeChambeau made himself heard on the mic as he chose to try and liven up an already excited crowd at the LIV event.
However, while DeChambeau might have thought this was a smart play, it seems golf fans have been left less than impressed.
One fan labelled the moment as ‘genuinely horrid’, while another called DeChambeau’s antics ‘embarrassing‘ at best.
Another fan suggested it summed up modern golf, but in a bad way.
“So this is what golf is all about these days? Go humiliate yourself somewhere else.”
While another branded DeChambeau’s move as ‘painful to watch’.
In more criticism for the American, another fan claimed DeChambeau is nothing more than a clown.
“He’s a clown, not a golfer.”
Another golf lover claimed this was a bit of a new low for LIV.
“I didn’t think it could get worse but here we are.”
And that was a sentiment felt by another, who labelled the moment ‘cringe’.
“Cringe. It appears he and LIV are desperate for any attention they can get right now.”
Bryson DeChambeau will always be marmite
Bryson DeChambeau is good for golf. There is no doubt about it.
He brings crowds, adds character, and ultimately, he is a fine golfer as well who is up there with the very best on his good days.
However, he will simply always be a marmite character. People seem to either love him or hate him and the move to LIV Golf has only exacerbated that fact.
People can think what they want about this moment and getting up on stage but at the end of the day, he is becoming more of an entertainer these days above anything else.
It’s not for everyone. But for those in Dallas, it provided a memory and once again showed DeChambeau cares about his fans.
