Bryson DeChambeau is arguably the most popular man in golf at the moment, and fans around the world loved what the 2024 US Open champion did on the 15th hole at LIV Golf Nashville.
The big-hitting American has been the talk of the sport since he secured his second major title at Pinehurst No.2 last weekend.
DeChambeau has been a media darling over the past week and couldn’t be anything further from the divisive figure who initially emerged on the PGA Tour.
Regularly engaging with the crowd appears to be the American’s tactic since landing the US Open title – and fans loved what he did during the first round in Tennessee.

LIV Golf has regularly incorporated ‘party holes’ into their thinking, and the 15th at The Grove was selected this week.
Arriving on the tee box, DeChambeau was seen engaging with the crowd before sticking his tee shot to six feet.
After subsequently making a birdie, the 30-year-old played to the crowd a little more before tossing his ball into the stands, something the golfing world has loved.
“Bryson is making golf fun to watch again,” wrote one fan on X.
Another added, “The one likeable person on that tour.”
Some admitted that their opinion of the LIV Golf star has changed.
“How Bryson went from one of my least favourite golfers to favourite golfers needs to be studied,” one fan wrote.
Finally, another admitted they would like to attend a LIV event soon in response to the video of DeChambeau.
“I need to get to a LIV event soon,” they added.
Finally, a popular fan account, ‘Flushing It’, said: “Bryson DeChambeau just made birdie on the party hole. Check the celebration. Ever the entertainer!”
Bryson DeChambeau is moving the needle at the moment

Those at the top of LIV Golf must absolutely love what DeChambeau is currently doing.
There can be no doubt he is moving the needle in terms of the popularity of the game.
Given how much he’s loved in the US, there must be staunch PGA Tour fans now keeping a close eye on LIV’s events just because DeChambeau is playing.
Hopefully, the PGA Tour and the PIF take note. Clearly, having players of DeChambeau’s quality unable to participate in specific events is terrible for the sport as a whole.
The sooner an agreement is formally announced, the better.
DeChambeau simply has to continue doing what he’s doing, as it’s hard to argue his actions are doing anything but good for the game.
