Golf fans are in agreement about Tiger Woods as they predict how he’ll do in the US Open at Pinehurst

The eyes of the golfing world will descend on Pinehurst next week when Tiger Woods makes his return at the US Open.

Woods, a three-time winner of the US Open, is still vying to play in each of the majors this year despite clearly struggling with injuries.

The 15-time major winner has been seen out and about at Pinehurst this week scouting out the course and as is the norm for when Tiger is going to play, excitement is building.

At the moment, we are knee deep in The Memorial Tournament, with Scottie Scheffler leading the charge once more as he looks to seal yet another big win.

But looking ahead to the US Open, even though Scheffler will be the favourite once more, there’s plenty of talk around just how well Tiger Woods might do.

So far, Woods has struggled. He did make the cut at Augusta but finished 60th before hobbling around the PGA and failing to make the weekend.

The US Open, then, could be another struggle for Woods given the tough Pinehurst number two course.

And over on social media, golf fans have been giving their predictions and thoughts on what we can expect from Tiger next week.

While there’s excitement among the fans over on social media, it’s clear this time there is a pattern in what fans think will happen with Woods.

And unfortunately, a majority seem to think another week of struggle is on the cards.

The theme of negativity towards Tiger’s game continued, as @Mbarker90 commented similar.

“I expect as usual he over practices early. Has a decent Thursday and then fades out by Friday.”

While another user was a touch harsher on Woods, suggesting his ego now gets in the way.

Thankfully, there were a few out there who were happy to just see Woods playing.

@Asein94 also had a similar feeling when it came to simply enjoying the great man play

“He will play golf and I will enjoy watching him no matter how he scores. Leave him alone.”

Woods, then, looks to have the eyes of the golfing world on him once again and it will be interesting to see if he does indeed manage to find something next week.
