Scottie Scheffler is ready for another huge year on the PGA Tour and YouTube sensation Peter Finch has made a bold prediction about the American.
Scheffler has won six times since 2022 on the tour, including two big events last year. The 27-year-old nabbed the WM Phoenix Open as well as The Players Championship, building on his superb Masters win in 2022.
Scheffler was also in contention in a number of tournaments throughout 2023 and but for some loose play around the greens, might have walked away with even more.
And speaking on The Rough Cut podcast, YouTube star Peter Finch has predicted big things for Scheffler in 2024.
Peter Finch says Scottie Scheffler can win eight tournaments in 2024
Making a number of bold predictions for the coming year, Finch’s co-hosts focussed on Rory McIlroy finally doing the business.

But Finch was a bit more bold in his call, as he predicted Scheffler to go full tilt and win a boat-load of trophies.
“This is going to shock you. Everybody just hold on and let this percolate, let this sink in through your grey matter. Scottie Scheffler is going to learn how to putt and he is going to win eight times this year,” Finch said.
“Sorry, I’ll be more realistic, he’ll win seven times. I think it was last year, I think it was 13 times, if he’d putted like an average PGA Tour player he’d have won 13 times. He had a ball striking year that was as good as Tiger, in his prime.”
Finch’s prediction would effectively see Scheffler win around 20% of the season tournaments on the PGA Tour.
Scheffler needs something special
This is a massive call from Finch and one which would take some doing, even for a player of Scheffler’s standards.
According to the PGA Tour’s official website, winning eight or more tournaments is quite the feat.
A number of players – like Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer and more – have done it many years ago, when some would argue the competition might not quite have been the same.
In more modern times, only Vijay Singh and the great Tiger Woods have managed it. Woods and Singh both managed nine in 2000 and 2004 respectively, while Woods also won eight in 1999 and 2006.
If Scheffler can pull off what Finch predicts here, then it would be quite something. The overall record is 18, which looks like it’s never going to be beaten.
