While the leaderboard may tell a slightly different story, Scottie Scheffler did not have everything all his own way on Sunday at the PGA Championship, with the likes of Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau doing their best to chase the world number one down.
Heading into the final round of the PGA Championship, the big question appeared to be just how many would Scottie Scheffler win by at Quail Hollow.
Towards the latter stages of the round, that question would be put back on the table. However, Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau did not make life too comfortable for Scheffler for much of the day.
DeChambeau would not go away, while Rahm was tied for the lead at one stage around the turn. Ultimately, neither player was able to sustain their challenges as Scheffler went on to steady the ship.
Dan Rapaport hits out at criticism of LIV Golf stars after the PGA Championship
Once again, it was a decent week for LIV Golf. The league had two of their players inside the top five at The Masters, and it was a similar story at Quail Hollow until Rahm had a dreadful finish.

And with that, Dan Rapaport has suggested that some of the top names on LIV have managed to prove a real point.
A mixed week for LIV Golf players at Quail Hollow
It was a very mixed week for those who ply their trade on LIV. A raft of names missed the cut, including Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed and Dustin Johnson.
Meanwhile, Joaquín Niemann had a really good result given some of the doubts he has had to contend with in recent majors. Rahm’s late collapse handed him his first top 10 in a major.
Rahm and DeChambeau have made a real statement ahead of the US Open and The Open Championship. They will both be desperate to clear that final hurdle at one of the final two majors of the year.
