Collin Morikawa played a crucial role in helping Team USA to another Presidents Cup win and he’s been discussing the relationship he has with the likes of Scottie Scheffler and others in the team room.
Team USA have been dug out over the years for having what many have perceived to be a bit of a broken spirit when it comes to team events.
Indeed, Phil Mickelson caught the eye years back as he openly called things out alongside his teammates after another US Ryder Cup loss.
This time, though, there seems to be no problem with team ethic.
And discussing that newfound mentality among the US players, Collin Morikawa has given an insight into how things go down off the course for Team USA.

Collin Morikawa shares what his relationship with Scottie Scheffler is like
Speaking to the media immediately after securing another Team USA point with his win over Scott, Morikawa was asked about his relationship with some of the top players on the team like Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele.
And unsurprisingly, Morikawa insisted the bond is very strong right now.
“It’s great. I’ve known Scottie for a long time and we all have different personalities, but we all vibe really, really well together. We all know what to focus on, and we don’t have to tell each other that,” Morikawa said.
“And I think it’s just making sure everyone around us, we’re focusing on the right things, and obviously we were able to pull through today.”
Team USA have three anchors for years to come
Paul McGinley picked out Morikawa, Scheffler and Schauffele as three of the key players in this Team USA squad and he is right.
The trio are going to be around for years to come and the US can effectively build around them for future tournaments.
Going into next year’s Ryder Cup, if these three deliver like they have in the Presidents Cup, then Team Europe are going to have a massive job on their hands winning.
