The 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage is only four months away, and United States captain Keegan Bradley is busy planning for the event.

Bradley hosted a team dinner before the PGA Championship for the most likely players to make the US team in September.

This included two LIV Golfers, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau, but the latter was unable to attend the event.

DeChambeau recently explained what he heard about the dinner and shared his thoughts on Bradley as a captain.

Bryson DeChambeau comments on Ryder Cup team dinner with Keegan Bradley

DeChambeau said it was “awesome” to receive an invite to the US team dinner and was clearly disappointed not to make it.

However, the US Open champion did catch some of Bradley’s talk on Zoom and had a one-to-one chat with him afterwards.

DeChambeau is determined to make Bradley’s squad to take on Europe, and appears convinced that he’ll be an excellent captain.

“Yeah, it was awesome. It’s an incredible honor. Unfortunately, we had massive storms that morning that delayed me 3 1/2 hours, and I couldn’t make it to the dinner. But I saw it on Zoom and also talked to the captain about it, and I was step for step with him. We had a great conversation after.

“Look, I’ve got to keep playing good golf, and I’ve got to hopefully… hopefully I can make it on points alone. That’s the goal.

“From everything I heard, it was pretty inspirational, and I know the captain is going to be a great leader for the team, whoever he chooses and whoever makes the team. He’s going to do a great job at Bethpage.”

Bryson DeChambeau has excellent chance to make US Ryder Cup team

DeChambeau is at a disadvantage compared to the PGA Tour players because his performances on LIV Golf don’t count towards Ryder Cup qualification.

The good news is that his victory at the US Open last year does matter, and currently has him in the top six in the standings.

If the Ryder Cup were today, DeChambeau would automatically qualify for Bradley’s team, but he’ll find it difficult to keep his position over the next few months.

It’s absolutely vital for the 31-year-old to perform well at the major championships to have any chance of qualification, albeit he’d surely merit a captain’s pick if he does fall outside of the top six.
