Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy squared off in a head-to-head battle during the final round of The Masters back in April.
DeChambeau criticised McIlroy for failing to talk to him at The Masters during the final round.
However, it was DeChambeau who received criticism more than McIlroy.
With the Ryder Cup just around the corner, fans are salivating at the prospect of a match-up between the two players at Bethpage Black.
If they face off, there will definitely be some bad blood between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf stars.

Each golfer is different. Some like to talk during competitive rounds while others are far too focused and in the zone.
The LIV golfer surely learned from that experience. He needs to worry about himself, and nobody else.
However, judging by his latest comments, it seems like he actually hasn’t learnt at all from playing alongside McIlroy during the final round of The Masters.
Bryson DeChambeau says what he’ll do if he faces Rory McIlroy at the Ryder Cup
Plenty of PGA Tour players actually defended McIlroy after DeChambeau’s comments following the Masters.
It was the Northern Irishman’s prerogative not to talk to DeChambeau at Augusta National.
However, it seems like the 31-year-old from Dallas is determined not to let the Masters fiasco go.

During an appearance at the Happy Gilmore Premiere, DeChambeau shared his desire to be paired alongside McIlroy during the Sunday singles matches at Bethpage Black, when speaking to People Magazine.
He said: “I’ll be chirping in his ear this time. Now, if we go up against each other, I mean you can be sure of it. I’ll get into his ear a little bit.”
Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau’s Ryder Cup records
McIlroy will be playing his eighth Ryder Cup this year, while DeChambeau will only be playing his third.
Here is what their respective Ryder Cup records look like:
| Year | McIlroy points won | DeChambeau points won |
| 2023 | 4 | DNP |
| 2021 | 1 | 2.5 |
| 2018 | 2 | 0 |
| 2016 | 3 | DNP |
| 2014 | 3 | DNP |
| 2012 | 3 | DNP |
| 2010 | 2 | DNP |
| Total | 18 | DNP |
It’s clear to see from that list that McIlroy is vastly more experienced than DeChambeau is at the Ryder Cup.
Perhaps it would be better for DeChambeau to stay in his own lane and concentrate on playing his game, rather than make an effort to irritate McIlroy.
