Bryson DeChambeau leads the field at LIV Golf Miami as he bids to win his third event on the breakaway tour.

DeChambeau played some fine golf to lead ahead of Sergio Garcia in tricky conditions in Florida.

However, there is a strong chasing pack behind Garcia as well and DeChambeau knows he’ll have to be firmly on his game if he is to win out in Miami.

The American is one of the big hopes for many going into next week’s Masters tournament and after winning the US Open in 2024, he knows how to get it done.

Still, DeChambeau will have to stick to his methods in both Miami and Augusta if he is to taste success and after coming in after round two as the leader, he revealed what he’s been working on.

Bryson DeChambeau shares what he’s been working on as he leads LIV Miami

DeChambeau was in confident mood after his second round put him into the lead.

Indeed, DeChambeau admitted his goal going into Augusta is to simply feel comfortable, and going into further detail on his actual practice sessions, DeChambeau explained what he’s been working on.

“Yeah, I like either season. The golf course plays very similar in both conditions. Maybe the wind flips a little bit,” DeChambeau admitted when asked about the difference in conditions.

“But it doesn’t really matter to me. This wind is the more difficult wind, I would say, so it’s a good test leading up into The Masters, just a good test in general. I like these types of golf courses. They really do truly test and see if you have your full game.

“For me this week, I’ve been working a lot more on my starting lines, and I feel like I’ve hit my starting lines a lot more with that curvature, that little draw that I have, and that’s just been a huge comforting factor for me over the golf ball on really difficult shots.

“I just go, just go back to the driving range and have that starting line with a little bit of a draw, and that’s been working very well for me this week. That’s what I’ve been working on.”

Where Bryson DeChambeau’s golf game is ahead of The Masters

A lot of players will try and get themselves fully ready for Augusta and Bryson DeChambeau is no different it seems.

Indeed, earlier in the week, DeChambeau suggested he feels in good enough form to win The Masters.

“I feel like I am right there,” DeChambeau said.

“I want to see how I do this week on the Blue Monster, this place is a tough place of golf. It’s a great week of golf. I am excited.”

With the LIV players under the spotlight at the majors more than even, DeChambeau will be desperate to show his US Open win wasn’t a one off last year since the split.

Indeed, it does feel like if anyone from LIV is going to win in Augusta, then DeChambeau is as good a bet as anyone.
