Bryson DeChambeau looks set to make his return to the Ryder Cup team later this year, with the LIV Golf star currently in the automatic qualification spots for Keegan Bradley’s team at Bethpage.
It is remarkable to think now that Bryson DeChambeau was not involved at the 2023 Ryder Cup given the force that he has become over the last few years. Of course, he won his second major title at the US Open last year.
Keegan Bradley will surely have DeChambeau in his team one way or another.
And it seems that the USA captain has taken an opportunity at The Open Championship to touch base with those who could well be in his ranks in September.

J.J. Spaun noted that Bradley left a note in his locker during the US Open. And it seems that DeChambeau is one of those to receive something similar this week at Royal Portrush.
Speaking after his final round at The Open Championship, DeChambeau suggested that he was touched by the gesture from the 2011 PGA Championship winner.
“I talked with him briefly, and then he put something in our lockers that was pretty inspirational. So, yeah,” he said.
“It meant a lot,” he added. “This year’s no joke. We’re tired of it. We’re tired of losing.”

DeChambeau was such an important part of the team which won by a record margin in 2021 at Whistling Straits. Of course, he played alongside rookie Scottie Scheffler in Wisconsin, with the pair forming a formidable partnership.
DeChambeau has become one of the most popular players in the game. And he explained what he hopes to add to the team later this year.
“I hope I can bring a lot of energy and a tsunami of a crowd that’s going to be rooting for Team USA,” he said.
Those comments were put to Tommy Fleetwood, who will be hoping to play a key role on the European side. And the Englishman welcomed what DeChambeau said.
“Yeah, that’s what you would expect. I think they should absolutely — I’m sure they’ll be looking to draw on the home fans, home support. I think it’s such a — it’s a great privilege to play a home Ryder Cup and have the support and have the crowds behind you,” he said.
“For us, we’ll go in there as a team, and we’ll just look forward to whatever atmosphere everybody brings and hopefully look forward to putting on a great show and playing well together. Yeah, obviously we’re looking to hold that trophy at the end, so we’ll see.”
With major championship season all but out of the way, many will only have eyes for the Ryder Cup now.
