With just weeks to go until the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, Bryson DeChambeau finds himself at the centre of attention once more.
DeChambeau is currently back in the USA as he plays at LIV Indianapolis.
However, rather than how he’ll do at the latest LIV event, much of the focus has been on DeChambeau and the PGA Tour’s decision to maintain he is banned.
It comes as Keegan Bradley intends to have all his players together at the upcoming Procore Championship as they look to bridge the gap and create team unity before the Ryder Cup.
But with DeChambeau being on LIV Golf and the players on there being banned from competing on the PGA Tour, the TOUR are maintaining their stance of not allowing LIV players to compete.
Now, though, DeChambeau has once again had his say on the matter.

Bryson DeChambeau puts pressure on the PGA Tour
Speaking after carding an opening round of four under in Indianapolis, Bryson DeChambeau was asked about the recent stance from the PGA Tour on the upcoming Procore event.
However, it seems that it’s out of DeChambeau’s hands, albeit he dropped in that LIV are open to him playing.
“That’s up to the Tour and their decision to make,” DeChambeau told Sports Illustrated after day one of LIV Golf Indianapolis.
“It’s on them if they don’t let us become together as a team and play. That just shows you…yeah, I’m not gonna say that.
“Yeah, it’s a scenario that’s unfortunate, and I wish it was different, but LIV is willing to let me play.”
With talks over a potential LIV and PGA merger seemingly dead in the water for now, it’s interesting to hear that LIV are willing to let DeChambeau play.
PGA Tour can dig their heels but this highlights a huge problem in golf
While you can easily argue the TOUR are right to keep their stance here and not allow Bryson to play, all it does is once again bring to light how ridiculous things have got.
With this split in golf, we now have a situation where Keegan Bradley wants all his players together for the good of the team, only to see one of his key men not be allowed on site.
For Team USA, it just completely stinks.

Sure, the PGA Tour have made their bed and they won’t want to give any sort of leeway and open the floodgates for future issues or exemptions.
But in a Ryder Cup year, with Team USA already facing uncertainty over Bradley’s own playing stance, they need a stable team environment.
All this is doing is isolating DeChambeau and ultimately, delaying their progress.
