Bryson DeChambeau and Scottie Scheffler are very much two of the world’s best golfers and ahead of The Showdown next week in Las Vegas, DeChambeau has been speaking about the world number one.
DeChambeau will be teaming up with Brooks Koepka to take on Scheffler and Rory McIlroy in a special event in Vegas.
However, while the LIV vs PGA element is there, all four of the players on display have a history with each other of sorts.
For Scheffler and DeChambeau, that relationship goes back to teaming up together at the Ryder Cup
And while DeChambeau admitted the initial chat with McIlroy was a bit nervy, the LIV star has admitted his relationship with Scheffler has no issues whatsoever.

Bryson DeChambeau delivers ‘awesome’ Scottie Scheffler verdict
Speaking on the latest episode of The Loop podcast, DeChambeau delved into what his relationship with world number one Scheffler was really like.
“It was actually great. We had a great time assembling and we were doing some fun stuff outside of that, I won’t get too deep into that. But it was really cool. We were shooting something so I will give you that as a hint. It was fun,” DeChambeau said.
“The photoshoot was awesome. We had a great time. Brooks were great. Rory was great. Scottie was great. It was one of those things.
“I hadn’t seen Rory since the US Open so that was pretty interesting and I’m always great with Scottie. Scottie is awesome. I always had a good relationship with him. Played with him at the Ryder Cup obviously and we had a good time.
“But ultimately it will come down to next week and we are going to show them what’s up! But it was good fun.”
Bryson DeChambeau and Scottie Scheffler’s Ryder Cup record as a pairing
The popular duo played together for the first time in 2021 and were very much a successful partnership over at Whistling Straits.
Scheffler and DeChambeau tied with Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton in the afternoon fourballs on the Friday, before going on to take down Tommy Fleetwood and Viktor Hovland in the Saturday equivalent.
Going into 2025’s event, captain Keegan Bradley will be hoping the duo will be firing on all cylinders.
Indeed, should Bradley opt to put them together again, then Scheffler and DeChambeau could end up being a formidable partnership.
