Brooks Koepka made his third start on the PGA Tour after returning from LIV Golf in January at the Cognizant Classic this week.

Koepka‘s week at the Cognizant Classic got off to a terrible start after he carded a round of three-over-par 74.

After the 35-year-old’s poor performances during his first two PGA Tour events of the season, it seemed like he was set for yet another disappointing finish.

However, he bounced back with rounds of 66, 69 and 65.

Koepka was delighted with his form at the Cognizant Classic on Friday, and he’ll be even more happy now after his superb round of 65 Sunday.

The five-time major champion has looked rather sheepish since returning to the PGA Tour from LIV Golf.

However, he definitely had some of his swagger back at PGA National this week.

The 35-year-old addressed the media on Sunday in Palm Beach following his final round 65.

Koepka was asked by reporters whether he is still adjusting to life back on the PGA Tour.

No, I think a lot of that was first week,” the five-time major winner admitted.

Once you get inside the ropes, it feels natural. I think it’s easier once you get inside those ropes.

Once the first week, doing all the media stuff and getting all that out of the way, it was a huge thing for me, and now it’s just a matter of going to play and build a rhythm.

Now that Koepka feels part of the PGA Tour once again and seems to be genuinely settled, he will be expecting much better results moving forward.

Koepka was asked by reporters on Sunday when he plans to head to Jacksonville.

Yeah, Monday I think is fair, he said.

I haven’t booked a flight yet. I would assume probably get up there Monday around lunchtime, would be my guess. I mean, it’s a good week. It’s fun.

Probably just get acclimated to everything again. I don’t know, have they overseeded? It’s probably playing a little bit different than the last time I played.

It would have been ’22 maybe. I just remember it was blowing a hoolie that day. I remember going to 17 and debating about hitting a 5-iron. Hopefully it plays a little different this year.

Koepka is still fairly undercooked when it comes to competitive starts, but playing in a huge event like The Players may well get his juices flowing once again.
