Brooks Koepka will be playing PGA Tour golf again before the end of the month.
Koepka was reinstated by the PGA Tour on Monday after Brian Rolapp created the Returning Member Program.
The wording of the PGA Tour statement means that Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Cam Smith all qualify for the program, just like Koepka did, due to the fact that they have won majors from 2022 to 2025.
It has been claimed that Koepka’s return has made some PGA Tour pros unhappy.
How will Brooks Koepka perform during the 2026 PGA Tour season?
Could he really win this year?
However, it is done now and there is no going back.
All that remains to be seen now is whether other LIV golfers will follow Koepka back to the PGA Tour.
Brooks Koepka’s response when asked about PGA Tour punishment
Koepka has been made to forgo any potential earnings from the Player Equity Program over the next five years.
That means he will be missing out on around $50-80 million, while he has also been asked to make a $5 million charitable donation.
The five-time major champion is not eligible to play in any signature events and will not be allowed to receive sponsor exemptions into them either.

When speaking to Golfweek, Koepka said whether he thinks punishment handed to him by the PGA Tour was fair.
“The penalty is significant but I understand why they’ve done it. It hurts but it’s supposed to,” Koepka said.
“I’ve got a lot of work to do with the players and I want to do that one-on-one. I want to have those conversations, but behind closed doors.“
Was Brooks Koepka’s punishment fair?
The eventual outcome is probably a fair solution for all parties involved.
Koepka will not be eligible to earn any money from the Player Equity Program, meaning that other PGA Tour players who were perhaps against his return, will benefit from having an extra share of the pie.
Should Bryson DeChambeau leave LIV Golf in 2026?
There will still be some who believe that Koepka should have been handed a long-term ban by the PGA Tour, rather than immediately be allowed back.
The 35-year-old clearly realizes that he made a big mistake by joining LIV Golf.
He’ll be hoping that his return to the PGA Tour will coincide with vastly improved performances in the major championships.
Koepka is still a huge name on the professional golfing scene and his return will be a big boost for the PGA Tour.
Only time will tell as to whether the likes of DeChambeau and Rahm follow in the American’s footsteps, though.
