Brooks Koepka is one of the most high-profile players on LIV Golf, but his future on the Saudi-backed tour is in doubt.
American star Koepka, who is a former world number one and five-time major champion, joined LIV Golf in 2022.
He made history shortly after the move, becoming the first man to win a major championship while an active LIV Golf player.
That arrived with his success at the 2023 PGA Championship, a tournament he won in back-to-back years in 2018 and 2019.
Brooks Koepka might not play on LIV Golf in 2026 despite being contracted
Koepka returning to the PGA Tour has been mooted, with the speculation certain to intensify given the latest admission from LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil.
“I know you’re not going to want to hear this one, just the individual players, and this goes back to our policy, we’re just going to run it through,” O’Neil told Sports Business Journal when asked if Koepka was playing on LIV in 2026. “So, we haven’t made any announcements on players, but he is signed for 2026.”

SBJ added: “Brooks Koepka was one of LIV’s core signees when the league launched in 2022, but Koepka’s deal is up following the 2026 season.
“At least four golf sources indicated there was a chance he may not play in the upcoming LIV season despite being under contract.
“Should he not play LIV, Koepka still would have access to each major, as well as the DP World Tour following his win at the 2023 PGA Championship.”
LIV Golf acquisitions would be overshadowed by Brooks Koepka loss
Losing Koepka would be a massive blow for LIV Golf, who really can’t afford to lose such a high-profile player at this moment in time.
Importantly, O’Neil has welcomed new additions to the tour for the 2026 season, including former player Laurie Canter.

That can arguably be viewed as a major coup for the Saudi-backed tour, primarily because Canter had only just received a PGA Tour card.
Victor Perez has joined LIV Golf too, but losing a key figure like Koepka would massively overshadow those acquisitions.
