They might not have always been best of friends, but Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau are now pillars of the LIV Golf scene.

After having a frosty relationship once upon a time, the American duo now seem to get along just fine and with the interests of LIV on both their minds, there’s plenty of opportunity to work closer together.

As we’ve seen, Koepka and DeChambeau teamed up as part of ‘The Showdown’ against Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler later last year.

But in the wider sphere, as well as being a two-time major winner, DeChambeau is arguably better known nowadays for his YouTube content.

And giving his verdict on the US Open winner’s efforts, Brooks Koepka has shared his thoughts.

What Brooks Koepka really thinks of Bryson DeChambeau’s YouTube channel

Speaking to Joe Pompliano on the Joe Pomp Show, Koepka was asked about the direction of golf and the boom in YouTube and streaming platforms showcasing the sport.

Naturally, that lead onto Bryson DeChambeau’s name getting a mention and for Koepka, the impact Bryson is having is a good one for the game.

“You see a lot, these streamers now. No man [won’t be getting into YouTube], I’ve got too much on my plate right now,” Koepka said.

“Look, Bryson has killed it on YouTube. Done a great job for himself, for his team or whatever. For whatever he’s doing right now, he’s got his hands on three different things and it’s all turning to gold. It’s cool to see.

“I haven’t watched Phil’s stuff but I’ve been in touch with Bryson’s stuff, it’s cool to see, that’s where it’s going. Even my brother, he played on LIV a few years ago and he talks about watching all these guys.”

Why Brooks Koepka disliked Bryson DeChambeau

This ‘beef’ between the two American big hitters goes back to 2019, when Koepka criticised the slow play on display from DeChambeau.

“I just don’t understand how it takes a minute and twenty seconds to hit a golf ball,” he said at the time.

Following that, DeChambeau suggested he was playing within the rules, while he suggested that the game changes things if Koepka was so bothered.

Adding more fuel to the fire, DeChambeau also had a run in with Koepka’s caddie in a petulant dig at his weight, which Koepka used to reply on social media with his then four majors saying he was ‘two short of a six pack’.

Finally, things threatened to boil over when DeChambeau interrupted a Koepka interview at the PGA Championship in 2021, with Koepka caught one camera rolling his eyes, showing visible frustration at DeChambeau’s antics.
