Brian Campbell is your 2025 John Deere Classic champion after winning a playoff against Emiliano Grillo to seal another win on the PGA Tour.
Campbell held his nerve in both the final round to shoot 18-under overall for the tournament and then kept his cool in the playoff as Grillo faltered, winning out after making par.
The American was cool and calm throughout the tournament and in the end, his steady approach to the game – despite his short distance off the tee – proved decisive.
Now, with the Ryder Cup coming up in just a few months, Campbell may well feel he has a golden chance of making the squad.
But even if he doesn’t, he can count himself as having a superb season and with his win at the John Deere Classic, he’s now joined an exclusive list for 2025.

Brian Campbell now alongside Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler in 2025
Winning any PGA Tour event in any season is hard. A lot of players go through an entire career without doing so and ultimately, it’s harder than people sometimes make out.
So when players are winning twice or more in the same year, it is even more impressive.
But that’s where we are now with Brian Campbell, who now has two victories in 2025 and with that, has put himself on an exclusive six-man list for the season.
Along with Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, Campbell joins Sepp Straka, Ben Griffin and Ryan Fox as the only players to win two or more times in 2025.
With calls for players like Ben Griffin to be on Team USA, Campbell will now be waiting to see if similar calls come for himself.

Brian Campbell’s PGA Tour career in numbers
It’s quite remarkable really that we sit here with Brian Campbell being our winner for the second time this season.
This is a player who has only made 40 starts on TOUR and within those 40, has made the cut just 16 times, a less than 50% success rate.
Furthermore, he has made just $1,944,741 in prize money since joining the PGA Tour, a figure nowhere near what most other players have made.
Sure enough, Campbell will pocket just over $1.5m for his win at the John Deere, almost doubling his career earnings so far.
But it is quite amazing. This season alone he only has two top 30 finishes, both of them being wins, while his previous win is his only top five career finish as well.
Quite what’s next for the 32-year-old remains to be seen but right now, Campbell is proving to be one of the more bizarre success stories of the year.
