Brandel Chamblee reacts to Scottie Scheffler’s chip-in on 17 and makes claim about Tiger Woods

Scottie Scheffler showed his class once again at the BMW Championship as he reeled in Robert MacIntyre to win comfortably at Caves Valley.

Scheffler bagged win number five by going round in 67 as MacIntyre struggled to a round of 73 to see his own hopes of winning evaporate.

MacIntyre will have been well aware of Scheffler before the round got underway and in the end, his worst fears came true as Scheffler turned on the style.

We’ve become so accustomed to seeing Scheffler play like this that it’s almost not shocking anymore to see him produce.

However, every so often, he does something that takes your breath away and his chip in on 17 from the rough off the green was one of those moments.

It was the perfect pitch shot from the world number one, akin to what we used to see from Tiger Woods and now, Brandel Chamblee has pointed out those comparisons in reacting to Scheffler’s brilliance.

Scheffler’s dominance and brilliance has been mesmerising and the way he’s playing right now puts him right up there with the best ever.

Going into round four, MacIntyre had a four-shot lead over Scheffler and it still wasn’t good enough.

With everyone else looking on, it’s getting to a point where everyone will be wondering just how they beat Scheffler.

Of course, it is wonderful to witness and the standard of golf Scottie Scheffler is playing right now is simply breathtaking.

However, for the rest of the field, it’s a worrying trend setting in now of even their best not being good enough to compete with the world number one.
