Scheffler and Brown will play their third rounds on the Pete Dye Stadium Course on Saturday.
The world number one will be paired with Justin Rose again while Brown remains with David Ford.
However, after three rounds, the leaders will go out last, just like every other week on the PGA Tour.
So is Brown excited by the prospect of playing alongside Scheffler on Sunday, or nervous about it?
He was asked that exact question by reporters after round two in the desert on Friday.
“I think that would be awesome, yeah,“ Brown admitted.
“Scottie is an unbelievable golfer. I’d try to learn from him as much as I can the way he plays the golf course.
There’s a lot of strategy in his game, and he’s obviously an unbelievable ball-striker. So it’s really cool watching him play some golf.“
