American golf fans should be very interested indeed by something that happened during Ben Griffin and Bryson DeChambeau’s Ryder cup practice round on Monday.

Griffin enters the Ryder Cup as a rookie while DeChambeau is set for his third appearance in the competition.

DeChambeau and Griffin have been mooted as the ideal Ryder Cup pairing and it would surprise nobody in the golfing world if Keegan Bradley went with the PGA Tour and LIV players as a partnership.

The United States team will have the raucous Bethpage Black crowd on their side this week, and Griffin and DeChambeau are the types of players who will thrive in that kind of environment.

Griffin has been one of the most in-form American Ryder Cup players over the past six months or so.

A video was posted by the official Ryder Cup USA account on X showing Griffin in action, and it makes for very interesting viewing indeed.

Ben Griffin and Bryson DeChambeau’s last two Ryder Cup practice holes were very interesting

Griffin went out alongside DeChambeau, Justin Thomas and Cameron Young on Monday during the United States practice round at Bethpage.

The 29-year-old, fresh off a two-win season on the PGA Tour, looked in great shape and good spirits.

His game was very strong indeed as well. Griffin was striping his driver and his irons and as per usual, he putted very well too.

Some of Griffin’s shots from his final two holes were captured on camera on Monday, and he really was looking very strong indeed.

It was interesting to see DeChambeau hyping Griffin up in the background.

Not a team player? What a load of rubbish. The LIV golfer is one of the best at supporting his teammates, and he’ll play a key role alongside Griffin this week.

Bryson DeChambeau and Ben Griffin the perfect Ryder Cup partnership

Bryson DeChambeau has received stinging criticism from Brandel Chamblee ahead of the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage.

Brandel Chamblee has made a name for himself as a relentlessly critical golf analyst after he retired from playing competitively, and DeChambeau is often a target of his criticism.

However, he proved that he is very much a team player with his support of Griffin in the video above.

It’s quite clear that the LIV Star will pair up with Griffin at Bethpage. They both play with completely unique golf balls for a start. The 29-year-old is the only golfer on the PGA Tour to use a Maxfli golf ball.

Meanwhile, DeChambeau very much marches to the beat of his own drum, and is constantly working on improving the golf ball that he uses.

Both players are real ‘hype merchants’ so to speak. They will be the ideal duo to get the crowd hyped up at Bethpage Black.

The idea of DeChambeau and Griffin as a Ryder Cup partnership makes perfect sense and if captain Keegan Bradley does decide to go with them as a pair, they could make serious waves at Bethpage.
