Ben Griffin will be among a number of Team USA players making their Ryder Cup debuts this month but the confident American is already in a confident mood.
Alongside the likes of Russell Henley and Cameron Young, Griffin will go to Bethpage Black looking to help reinvigorate the US team who were heavily beaten in 2023.
Never short of confidence, Griffin has spoken openly about how he rates his own golf game and eventually, he sees himself as a major winner.
Indeed, ahead of the Ryder Cup taking place, Griffin has been speaking at the Procore Championship and revealed the advice both Brad Faxon and Raymond Floyd have given him.

Why Ben Griffin is excited by Raymond Floyd’s Ryder Cup tips
Speaking to the media after the opening round in Napa, CA, Griffin’s attention was turned to the Ryder Cup and what might happen given he’s a new face.
And interestingly, Griffin has revealed that some advice from Raymond Floyd – for captain – has gone down very well.
“It’s probably going to be loud is what people are saying. There’s going to be some fans,” Griffin quipped.
“Advice? I talked to a few guys last week at Old Palm in Jupiter. Talked to Raymond Floyd and Brad Faxon, a couple guys that have played in some Ryder Cups. Raymond played in a bunch and was a captain as well.
“They all talked about the first tee shot, just how crazy it is then you kind of get off and go. No, one of the coolest pieces of advice, not really advice but just something that gives me more hope than anything, is Raymond was like a lot of the guys on the teams that I was playing in that weren’t major champions ended up going on to win majors. It was like a steppingstone almost, playing in the Ryder Cup. You learn a lot about yourself as a player and it prepares you really well for the majors going forward.

“He said a lot of the guys on all his teams hadn’t won majors and ended up winning majors after the Ryder Cup, so gives me some hope, maybe next year at Augusta.”
Why Ben Griffin wants to play with Bryson DeChambeau at the Ryder Cup
Ben Griffin is a man who oozes confidence and he is very much at one with his game and how good he is.
Indeed, speaking earlier in the year, Griffin admitted he could play with anyone, including Bryson DeChambeau.
“I think I would pair up well with most of the guys, I would say I’m pretty friendly with everyone. I think it would be fun if I continue on this trend of hitting it further and getting stronger playing with,” Griffin told CBS.
“DeChambeau would be really fun. Try to hit a bunch of bombs out there with him. I still feel like I need to get a bit more speed to get to hang with him.“
Quite whether Keegan Bradley goes that way, remains to be seen but there is a good feeling in this American team right now, one that perhaps wasn’t there three months ago.
