Anthony Kim completed one of the most rewarding comebacks in the history of the sport, after winning LIV Golf Adelaide on Sunday.

Over the past decade or so, Anthony Kim has gone through some seriously difficult times away from the golf course.

He returned to the professional game in 2024, after LIV Golf offered him the chance to compete once again.

Who is the biggest winner if Tiger Woods never existed?

However, it was clear to see that the 40-year-old was nowhere near the levels required. He played poorly in 2024 and again in 2025 – a season which culminated in his relegation from LIV.

Kim then secured his return to LIV during the off-season after finishing inside the top three at the LIV Promotions Event.

And now Kim’s comeback is complete after his incredible win at LIV Golf Adelaide on Sunday.

Anthony Kim comments on Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm after winning LIV Adelaide

Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm were tied for the lead heading into the final round of LIV Golf Adelaide at The Grange Golf Club, five strokes clear of Kim.

LIV Golf fans were expecting an incredibly exciting face-off between the American and the Spaniard, but Kim gatecrashed the party.

As Rahm posted a round of 71, DeChambeau could only manage a 74, while Kim lit up the golf course, firing a hugely impressive nine-under-par 63 to win the tournament by three strokes.

After the final round in Australia, Kim was asked what it was like to play with two absolute powerhouses of the game in the form of DeChambeau and Rahm.

Yeah, I mean, obviously Bryson and Jon have proven themselves as major championship caliber winners, Ryder Cup players, and have consistently played well for a long time, so I have a tremendous amount of respect for them, he admitted.

I knew it was going to be an uphill battle today, and I got putts to go my way.

But obviously Bryson got off to a bad start and really just kind of was hanging in there. But Jon was playing halfway decent at first.

When I got close, I felt it was very important for me to be seeing what he was doing, even though my focus needed to be on my game. I liked to know where I was compared to the other leaders.

The fact that Kim stared down two of the biggest and baddest players in the professional game speaks volumes about the 40-year-old’s undeniable talent.

Anthony Kim shares his plan after winning LIV Adelaide

The hard work clearly won’t stop now for Kim. In fact, his second chance at golf, and indeed life, really begins now.

After his win in Adelaide, he was asked to give his initial thoughts on his gargantuan achievement.

Is Patrick Reed leaving the end of LIV Golf?

Obviously Bryson and Jon didn’t have their best today, but regardless, I putted great, Kim said.

My caddie and I worked so well out there. I heard my wife shouting, even when it was going bananas out there.

‘All those little things, including the support I’ve had from the crowd here in Australia, have been second to none.

I’m very overwhelmed with this feeling right now, but my plan is to keep getting better and start winning some more trophies.

That’s exactly the kind of attitude he needs to have now, if he is to go on and win again.

Well done Anthony Kim, you deserve this one!
