Scottie Scheffler has become as well known for his mental strength as he has for his actual golf skills in recent years.

While we all know the world number one is a brilliant golfer, it is often Scheffler’s approach to situations and how he handles himself through tournaments that is so impressive.

Time and again we see him keeping his cool, taking each moment as they come and put simply, he seems effortless in his approach and rarely stressed.

Of course, that is something that takes work and it is no fluke that Scheffler is as good as he is in all aspects of golf.

Thankfully for us, Scheffler himself has previously shared a snippet of information on just how he goes about making sure he gets that element of golf right.

Scottie Scheffler’s tip for keeping a good mental state in golf

Scheffler has revealed a few snippets of information over the years to help us understand his mind set.

And speaking back in the summer of 2025, Scheffler explained how he keeps things separate.

“Look, when you’re at the golf course, you’re at the golf course. When you’re in class, be in class. When I’m out doing things with my friends, you know….when I’m at home with my wife, I don’t want to be at home thinking about my golf swing. And when I’m out playing, I don’t wanna be out there thinking I want to be at home,” Scheffler has revealed previously.

“We have certain times throughout he day and I think if you’re in the present, we’re able to make the most of situations, whether it be enjoying it to the fullest, or putting in the work to be the best I can be.

“You know, it’s a constant battle really.”

Scottie Scheffler’s attitude will lead to more major wins

We are at a point in Scottie Scheffler’s career where it’s not a case of if he’ll win another major, but more of how many he will get to.

That is how dominant he is right now that it almost seems impossible he won’t win at least a few more.

Going into 2026, Scheffler is the overwhelming favourite to win a number of events and a third Masters title seems the most likely of all.

As with the above comments from the world number one, Scheffler’s relentless attitude yet brilliant way of balancing everything seems to stand him in good stead.

Ultimately, he’s made it into a situation where he is the man to beat. And right now, that is a great spot to be in if you’re Scottie.
