Another PGA Tour season is rapidly reaching its conclusion, with plenty of eyes already turning to 2026.
Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler were the dominant forces in the latest PGA Tour season, combining to claim nine wins.
Six of those were secured by world number one Scheffler, who emerged victorious at the PGA Championship and The Open Championship.
Meanwhile, among McIlroy’s three wins was The Masters, which resulted in the Northern Irishman completing the career grand slam.

The PGA Tour player who has never won but ranks ahead of Rory McIlroy for driving
A very long list of factors were behind their stunning success, although both did particularly shine with their drivers.
Scheffler tops the pile for Strokes Gained: Off the Tee on the PGA Tour for 2025, with McIlroy only just dropping to third following the conclusion of the Bank of Utah Championship.
Overtaking him into second is Rico Hoey, who finished second to Michael Brennan at Black Desert Golf Course last week.
It represents the second runner-up finish of his PGA Tour career from his 58th start, with Hoey yet to claim a maiden title.

What is Rico Hoey’s history on the PGA Tour?
Hoey deserves great credit for posting such an impressive figure, particularly given how renowned McIlroy is for his driving.
He does, of course, have a long, long way to go to fully emulate the likes of McIlroy and Scheffler, but it’s certainly a good starting point.
A first PGA Tour win will now likely be on the top of the agenda for Hoey, who currently occupies 61st place in the FedExCup Fall Standings.
The leading duo meanwhile will be looking towards another successful season in 2026, although the Ryder Cup may still be on their minds.

McIlroy has been predicted to struggle in 2026, when he is likely to continue his approach of playing as and when it fits into his schedule.
