Golf and the Olympics have managed to rekindle their relationship in recent years, beginning with the 2016 event in Rio.
And it is set to continue in the near future, when many star names take on Riviera Country Club at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
After a lengthy time away from the Olympic program, golf’s men’s gold medal went to Great Britain’s Justin Rose in Brazil.
Xander Schauffele followed suit in Tokyo, with his fellow United States representative Scottie Scheffler then triumphing in Paris last year.
Inbee Park was Rose’s equivalent in women’s golf in 2016, with Nelly Korda and Lydia Ko then clinching the top prizes at the iconic event.
