Scottie Scheffler has enjoyed a magnificent season on the PGA Tour in 2025.

Scheffler has been untouchable at times this season, with four PGA Tour wins to his name including two major championships and a Signature Event.

However, the world number one golfer did cause somewhat of a stir before The Open Championship last month.

Scheffler suggested that he gained no fulfilment from winning golf tournaments, instead seeking gratification from his life away from the golf course.

His comments divided the golfing world with some bizarrely suggesting that he didn’t set a great example to young players coming through.

However, others including Annika Sorenstam backed Scheffler to the hilt.

In any case, there never should have been any questions surrounding his commitment to the game of golf in the first place.

While Scheffler undoubtedly prioritises his family life over everything else, he is quite clearly 100 per cent committed to being the best golfer he can be.

Now we have stone cold evidence that this is indeed the case.

The mere fact that Scheffler is teeing it up this week at the FedEx St. Jude Championship shows that he has a real passion for the game.

After all, Rory McIlroy decided to skip the event because even winning the tournament in Memphis will make no difference to his chances of succeeding at the Tour Championship at East Lake.

Scheffler didn’t have to play again until the FedEx Cup finale in Atlanta, Georgia.

With his decision to play the FedEx St. Jude Championship, Scheffler has put to bed any silly questions about his hunger to win.

It’s easy to forget that the world number one badly damaged his hand just before the end of 2024 when carving a turkey!
