Jack Nicklaus is the most highly-decorated golfer in the history of the game, and he has won more Masters titles than anyone else as well.

With 18 major championships to his name including a record six Masters titles throughout his career, Jack Nicklaus stands head and shoulders above everyone else who has ever played the game professionally.

Augusta National was The Golden Bear’s playground from the 1960s all the way through to the 1980s.

Nicklaus knew Augusta National like the back of his hand and that is what helped him become so dominant at The Masters.

Back in 2006, Nicklaus accused the Masters committee of ruining the tournament by lengthening the golf course beyond all recognition.

In spite of that, though, Augusta National will always hold a place very close to Nicklaus’ heart.

Throughout his 45 appearances at The Masters, Nicklaus’ best eclectic or ‘ringer’ score really is remarkable.

Nicklaus’ worst score on all 18 holes during 45 appearances at the Masters was a birdie.

He eagled all four par fives as well as two par fours – the fifth, twice in 1995 and the seventh in 1976.

Incredibly, though, his score of 24-under-par 48 isn’t actually the best of all-time at Augusta.

Raymond Floyd’s best ‘ringer’ score at The Masters stands at an exceptional 47.
