Scottie Scheffler’s tee-to-green play underpinned his remarkable 2024 season on the PGA Tour.

Scheffler’s fairway finder was relentless and often allowed him to avoid any significant errors. The world number one was lauded for his ability to avoid big numbers and gradually work away at the scoreboard.

It’s clear that ahead of the 2025 campaign, Scheffler won’t be focusing all his practice on his driving. Other areas of his game, mainly his putting, need work.

Naturally, many would assume Scheffler hit more fairways than most during 2024. However, that’s not quite the case. In fact, there’s a PGA Tour player who has found the short grass 250 more times.

Brendon Todd leads PGA Tour fairway statistic

39-year-old Brendon Todd is actually the man who’s hit the most fairways during the 2024 season. The three-time PGA Tour winner has found the short grass 67% of the time.

Out of a possible 1350 fairways, Todd has hit 915, which is a pretty impressive feat. As a result, Todd has hit exactly 250 more accurate drives than Scheffler.

Lucas Glover is another who’s racked up impressive numbers, with 860/1244 hits this season. Scheffler has an accuracy of 66% and has hit 665/994 fairways in 2024.

Most accurate driver on the PGA Tour

Englishman Aaron Rai is currently the most accurate driver on the PGA Tour, having hit 857 fairways with a success rate of 72%.

Rai claimed his maiden PGA Tour title at the Wyndham Championship, the final regular-season event of the season.

Another notable name inside the top five is Collin Morikawa. The world number four has a 70% accuracy rate and was heavily reliant on his cutting tee shots during the 2024 season.
