Jack Nicklaus knows a thing or two about golf, having gone down in history as one of the greatest to have ever played the game.
Tiger Woods labelled Nicklaus the best ever once upon a time, with the latter just ahead of the former in the all-time major wins list.
Nicklaus sits at the very top of that list with 18 major championship titles, having clinched a total of 73 PGA Tour wins throughout his career.
The American legend retains a key interest in the sport, and has gained the respect of everyone involved thanks to his efforts both on and off the course.

Nicklaus has given his perspective on many of his fellow professionals over the years, and that includes Tom Weiskopf.
As per Mountain Outlaw, he said of his former rival: “Tom was one of the finest strikers of the golf ball to ever live, and if he ever believed that he was half as good as he was, he would have won a lot more tournaments.
“Tom had this hang-up that he couldn’t beat me, and he shouldn’t have had that. Because Tom was a terrific player, and certainly a lot better player than he gave himself credit for.”

Tom Weiskopf’s career feats including 1973 Open Championship win
Like Nicklaus, Weiskopf has more than left his mark on golf, with 16 PGA Tour victories among his honors list.
That includes a triumph at The Open Championship in 1973, when he beat Neil Coles and Johnny Miller by three shots at Troon Golf Club.
Nicklaus was ironically a major factor in Weiskopf not winning more tournaments, with the latter finishing as runner-up to the former in two majors.
Both such finishes came at The Masters at Augusta National, where Weiskopf heartbreakingly finished as runner-up on a remarkable four occasions.
For good measure, the Golden Bear and his fellow American played out the same scenario at the 1993 US Senior Open.
