LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau is unquestionably one of the best golfers on the planet right now
And despite what Brandel Chamblee may have you believe, DeChambeau is, in fact, a needle-mover, when it comes to attracting eyeballs to TV broadcasts.
Since joining LIV Golf, the 32-year-old has remained incredibly competitive in the major championships.
He won the US Open in 2024 after getting the better of Rory McIlroy at Pinehurst No.2.
By his high standards, DeChambeau actually struggled on LIV in 2025, but he did finish inside the top-10 in three of the majors.
DeChambeau has completely changed the face of the professional game with his explosive power off the tee.
However, he will be desperate to start winning majors consistently over the course of the next decade or so.
Does he have the right man for the job on his bag, though?
Bryson DeChambeau’s results in majors since changing caddies
DeChambeau has won two majors in his career to date, but things began to really turn for him just over two years ago.

Gregory Bodine began caddying for DeChambeau in May 2023, just two weeks before the PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club.
Before Bodine, the 32-year-old American had Ben Schomin and Tim Tucker on his bag dating back to 2016.
So has Bodine made a big difference for DeChambeau in the very biggest events?
There’s actually a strong case to be made for the caddie playing a crucial role in the LIV star’s fine form in the last 11 major championships he has played.
Let’s take a look at DeChambeau’s results in the major championships both before and after he appointed Bodine as his new caddie in May 2023.
| Achievements | Pre-May 2023 | Post-May 2023 |
| Majors played | 25 | 11 |
| Wins | 1 | 1 |
| Runner-up | 0 | 2 |
| Top-5s | 2 | 4 |
| Top-10s | 3 | 7 |
| Top-25s | 6 | 8 |
| Missed cuts | 8 | 2 |
It’s very clear to see from those numbers that DeChambeau has been an entirely different golfer since the PGA Championship in 2023.
He’s had more runner-up finishes, top-5s, top-10s and top-25s with Bodine on the bag than he had before appointing him, having played in fewer than half as many events as well!
The next step for the LIV golfer will be to turn his near misses into wins in the biggest four tournaments every year.
Brandel Chamblee was spot on with Bryson DeChambeau claim
Chamblee claimed that DeChambeau hasn’t actually improved as a golfer since joining LIV.
Instead, he suggested that he has maintained his level.
The golf analyst claimed there has been one main reason behind DeChambeau’s ability to remain competitive in the major championships, unlike his fellow LIV golfers.
He said: “I mean it’s not like he suddenly got better when he went to LIV. He got better when he changed caddie.”
Chamblee may be controversial, but he’s not often wide of the mark when it comes to statistics.
DeChambeau has quite clearly become a better golfer since appointing Bodine as his caddie, and his results in the major championships prove that.
