Rory McIlroy finally won The Masters and completed the career Grand Slam in an epic final-round showdown at Augusta National.
The Northern Irishman made four double bogeys at the tournament – including two on Sunday – and still found a way to will himself to victory.
It was an unbelievable spectacle, and one which will be remembered for decades to come, not just by golf fans.
The Golfing Gazette now looks at 10 things that 2025 Masters champion McIlroy is fortunate enough to receive after his great success.

What Rory McIlroy gets for winning The Masters, including the Green Jacket
1. Green Jacket
The obvious one. The Green Jacket ceremony always takes place after the tournament ends, with last year’s winner presenting it to the new champion. What fans might not know is that players only get one jacket, no matter how many times they win the competition.
2. Trophy replica
The Masters champion always lifts the iconic trophy on Sunday afternoon, but they don’t get to keep it. Instead, they can take home a replica of about half the size.
3. Gold medal
A much smaller prize than the Green Jacket or trophy is a gold medal with an image of the Augusta National clubhouse.

4. Gold locket
Similarly, Masters winners are awarded a gold locket. However, this is presented to them the following year at the Champions Dinner.
5. Champions Dinner invitation
Speaking of the Champions Dinner, the reigning champion gets to choose the menu for the occasion next time around. It’s always held on the Tuesday evening of Masters week.
6. Champions Locker
Another exclusive benefit to winning The Masters is a locker in the Champions Locker Room. Players do have the share, though, because there’s not enough space for one each.
7. Unique tee time
The defending champion is able to play at Augusta National on the Sunday before The Masters. Scottie Scheffler played with his mom this year.

8. $3.6 million prize money
The total prize money on offer at The Masters 2025 is an incredible $20 million, with $3.6m going to first place. That’s $2m more than when Bubba Watson won 10 years ago.
9. Lifetime Masters invitation
Of course, Masters winners receive an exemption to play in the tournament every year for as long as they wish. That’s how Jack Nicklaus, for example, was able to accumulate 45 appearances.
10. Five-year major exemption
Another exemption which Masters champions earn is to the other three majors (Open Championship, US Open and PGA Championship) for the next five seasons.
